Grayson admits club have received offers for duo

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson said in an interview with Sky Sports News that he had received offers for the star duo of Fabian Delph and Jermaine Beckford but nothing substantial has been offered as of yet.

For the past eight months Delph has been linked with a host of clubs including
Everton, Aston Villa, Fulham, Manchester United and Portsmouth but it appears that no solid bids have been put forward for the highly rated winger.

Beckford was placed on the transfer list after refusing a new contract, reportedly asking for a substantial increase in his wages after his 34 goal season.

In the interview Grayson had this to say

'There have been lots of enquiries, but we want to keep hold of the player.

'Then again, every player has got a price. Man Utd got a good price for Cristiano Ronaldo and no-one expected him to leave six months ago, but in football that happens.'

Grayson showed the Leeds fan within himself when talking about the Jermaine Beckford situation also,

'If we do get an offer, do we sell him or do we keep him and he scores the goals like he has done over the last two years?'

Whatever happens Leeds fans will be hoping that their squad is a stronger one then the one that has been unable to get promoted from League 1 over the past two years.
