Leeds boss Simon Grayson says he will not be rushed into signing players this summer just for the sake of it.
Quite a number of Leeds fans have shown their displeasure on a number of forums with Leeds lack of activity in the transfer market so far this summer.
Grayson is quite happy with the way things are moving forward so far this summer and speaking on the official site said "I could have quite easily have gone out and signed six dozen players if I wanted, but they wouldn`t have been of the quality I think I need to bring to this football club".
So far Leeds only additions to the squad have been free transfers, defender Jason Crowe joined from Northampton Town and goalkeeper Shane Higgs from Cheltenham Town.
What this does illustrate though is that Simon Grayson is filling the gaps that Leeds fans most desperately wanted filling last term.
Leeds continue to be linked with a number of players with nothing materialising, Grayson seems like a manager who likes to play his cards very close to his chest and doesn`t like announcing a new signing until the player has signed the contract.
To all Leeds fans be patient, Simon Grayson and his backroom team showed in the second half of last season that they have what it takes to take the club forward with some very astute signings in the likes of Sam Sodje and Richard Naylor that took the club on a run that saw them win nine out of their last eleven League games.
They also equalled a club record which has stood for over fourty years when winning their last eleven League games in a row.
Things are finally looking back on an upward trend on the pitch at Elland Road after a number of barren years and Simon Grayson will be the man to lead us there.
