'If It's Football, It's Vital'

LUFC - Showunmi back in training

Enoch Showunmi has returned to full training after being sidelined since Christmas.

Showunmi who joined Leeds from Bristol City in the summer of 2008 suffered a blood clot on his lung which ruled him out for the remainder of the season.

Speaking on the official website Enoch said "I`ve been keeping fit over the summer, and I`m glad to be back and ready to play football again".

The 26 year old had struggled to hold down a regular starting spot on his arrival to the club but had managed to score five goals from just six starts.

With the future of leading scorer Jermaine Beckford still undecided with him on the transfer list Enoch will be looking for a good pre season should he get the chance of a regular starting spot next season.

Glad to see him back, I thought he came in for some unfair criticism last season and his scoring ratio says it all. He's a bit like Lee chapman, not the finest of footballers but makes an habit of finding the net when called upon. Let's give big Enoch a chance, we might rely on him this season.

Well said, Dazza. We may need goals from many sources this year!

In the full interview he also said that the whole squad was looking fit which is great to hear as it show that they want to get off to a good start in getting out of this damned league!

Hopefully he'll be gone, sooner rather than later. Not my sort of player.

A bit of pace on him and he could be a great striker
