LUFC - Fixture changes already!

The fixtures haven`t been out a week and already the Police are busy interfering and moving Leeds United fixtures.

To make matters even worse for Leeds fans wanting to go to the games they are two of the longest trips of the season that have been first to be moved.

Southend United away which was originally scheduled for Saturday 12th September will now take place on Friday September 11th with a 7.45pm kick off.

The Yeovil Town away fixture which has been moved for the past two seasons on Police advice as also been moved already even though the game isn`t due to take place till Easter!

The game was due to be played Easter Monday (April 5th) but will now be played the following evening with a 7.45pm kick off.

I am sure this is just the first two of quite a few that will be changed before the season commences.

At least it might mean that some of the games might be chosen for tv games?...

I can't see it, these games have been solely moved for the benifit of the Police and nothing else. Its about time the reputation we had about 30 years ago was forgotton. They would soon stop changing them if Leeds sent all the tickets back. The clubs would be desperate for the cash that Leeds generate for them.
dazza71
I wonder how much it is police and how much the clubs seeking to reduce the effect of the following fans and fill the grounds with their own ??? It will be interesting to see if any of the three 'big' clubs relegated suffer any of this ****
erni
How many of the clubs we go to could fill up the ground and have a section of the away end to? Not many would be my guess.

typical. and stupid. probably not the only 2 to be changed throughout the season.
benlufc
One of the Millers games has been changed cos of a U2 concert!
herringthorpe
Why couldnt they have done both and just let U2 play the half time show in such a big game...lol They did it for the Superbowl
