LUFC - Leeds sign defender
Leeds United have made their first signing if the summer, Jason Crowe who`s contract at Northampton On June 30th has agreed to join the club on July 1st.
The 30 year old generally plays at right back but has also been known to play in the centre of defence as well as midfield.
Crowe started his career at Arsenal without ever making a first team appearance.
He played almost 100 times for Portsmouth when they paid £1,000,000 for him in 1999.
Crowe has been at Northampton since 2005 making almost 200 appearances and helping them to promotion from League Two.
The defender has also played three times for England under 20`s in 1997

Well, Larry`s been right on the button with the few players he`s brought in so far. Crowe seems like a useful experienced player. Played OK twice against us. Not yer typical Mr Average. And cheaper than Fraser?

Hes a decent player but I dont hear anybody jumping for joy at a free signing from Northampton (Grimsby before that) but we have to give him a chance. I watched his interview on LUTV and he sounds confident he is up to scratch and thinks he is now playing the best football of his career..

i think hes quite a good replacement for frazer. he scored both there goals when we whacked em 5-2 in the f.a cup

Sorry this is & will be a step backwards, Coming from a team that Finished 17 places behind us & with a -4 G/D and as Tiny T says a Defence that conceded 11 against us doe's not say Leeds are looking to improve our position. We failed to get promotion last season because of our defence at the begining & we're getting rid of a proven player 4 Crowe. We need players from teams who finished higher not lower than us, We are a massive club that needs to push for promotion not just lay back & take what other dont want. THINK ABOUT IT QUALITY NOT QUANTITY

How loaning players from the top 4 in the prem, Leicester loaned Hobbs from Liverpool and then bought him when they got promoted, these are the players we need,
