LUFC - Richardson to be released

Frazer Richardson will be released by Leeds United when his contract expires on June 30th.

Negotiations have been going on with Richardson but with Leeds signing Jason Crowe from Northampton, Leeds have decided to not carry on with negotiations.

Richardson is Leeds longest serving player and the only surviving member of the squad who last played for Leeds in the Premiership.

The 26 year old defender made his debut for the club in 2002 and went on to make over 150 appearances for the club.

sad to see frazer will be going, he will be playing in the championship next season though, all the best to him.

Suprising - obviously had something sorted elsewhere.

Nice guy. Good servant to the club. All the best to him in the future. Gary Mac rated him enough to make him captain. Simon Grayson probably doesn`t rate him much at all. At least not more than the contract they`ve offered him. The contract he`s turned down. What do you think? Would you take a pay cut to play for Leeds United? Jonathan Douglas wouldn`t. Neither would Fraser.
Rotherham White
We dont know what he was offered, pay cut, same pay but only a years contract, pay cut no guarentee of playing etc etc. Hes done his best for us and hes everybodys nice guy but if he is playing the the CCC next year hes going to struggle like he did when he played for us at that level. I wouldnt be surprised if he took a long term deal with another Yorkshire club like Barnsley or Huddersfield.

Ridiculous !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
