LUFC - Cricket in Elland Road? Why Not

Long gone are the days of just football in Elland Road. Now the people of Leeds are becoming accustomed to concerts and even Rugby League matches.

Cricket though is a completely different kettle of fish.

On the 31st of July the world famous Lashings World XI are set to face a Leeds United International XI in a Twenty20 game. Many big names will be there including several former Yorkshire players.

The tie promises to be an exciting one as Elland Road plans to host for the first time the game that is taking the world by storm.

Of course many Leeds fans will remember the game in September 1986 involving Yorkshire which was soon followed by a Leeds united home game!

Ticket details are due to be announced on leedsunited.com next week.
