LUFC - Lucas to become a Robin?
Swindon Town look favourites to sign David Lucas who was recently released from Leeds United.
Keeper Lucas has agreed terms with the Wiltshire club and they expect to him to sign later this week once he`s passed a medical.
The 31 year old signed for Leeds in 2007, he enjoyed a regular starting spot last season under Gary McAllister before falling down the pecking order after the arrival of new boss Simon Grayson.
Lucas was released by Leeds soon after the season had finished.

I used to think he got some unfair stick from fans, the defence in front of him didn't help him much.

Tough on Swindon, but bet he has 2 good games against us though, ex player syndrome

DW will hopefully get him back on form again. He's not necessarily going to be the first choice keeper, I'm wondering if DW has gone for experience here and not the 'flash in the pan' type player.

Lets hope he has a good season as he is a genuine player but not dominant enough for me especially with the dithering defence we has first half of sewason.

I'm pretty sure that most United fans would rather be buying some attacking grit than saying goodbye (again) to former employees. But on the other hand I'm not sure Billy Sharp can cut the mustard for you. I hear He suffers from long periods of goal starvation and is a regular with the physios...
