LUFC - Leeds linked with quartet of strikers

With Jermaine Beckford placed on the transfer list this week Leeds are quickly being linked with strikers to replace him if he leaves.

Already rumoured to be taking over from the 34 goal leading scorer are Michael Mifsud from Coventry City who is out of contract with the Sky Blues.

According to the Daily Star they have also joined the hunt to sign Simon Cox from Swindon Town but face competition from West Brom, Celtic and Leicester.

Also being linked is ex Leeds striker David Healy from Sunderland.

Healy scored 29 goals in 111 appearances for the Whites between 2004-2007.

Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp is rumoured to have been watched by Simon Grayson and is interesting the club.

I mentioned Healy the other day and got battered for it! I think playing in League One he would score a sackful. He's worked with Glynn Snodin with Northern Ireland so he knows how to get the best from Healy. You have to remember in his first spell at Leeds he worked under Kevin Blackwell who could turn the best striker in the world into a cart horse!!

I agree Dazza and despite the critisism he was top scorer two consecutive seasons in front of Robbiue Blake and Cresswell who have both done well since leaving United. Blackwell tended to play him on the wing which is not his position but then he did the same with Marlon King who then went on to be the Championshios top scorer the following season with Watford.

You may end up a stronger team without him, by that I mean not relying solely on his goal scoring, I don't see Coxy moving here but hey who knows. money talks.

Sorry cant see any off them coming here, Why would they yes we are a big club but we are playing in League 1 and by the sounds of it we are paying league 1 wages to match, All 3 strikers will be on more money than what we will pay, I hope we do get 1 off them but cant see it happening.I have a feeling we will be stuckwith Misfud who is a free agentwith the right management he could be a decent player and i think he would score 20+ for us but MOT... We will be linked with everyone now. Just wanted to say Beckford may off scored us 30+ goals but his attitude stinks and if he does not want to wear the colour of leeds and play in front of 25,000 then get shot ASAP we dont need negative players at this club

None seem able to score enough goals, Healy particularly hasn't scored many whereever he's been
