LUFC - Leeds to start talks with Beckford
Leeds United chief executive Shaun Harvey has said the club is ready to offer leading goalscorer Jermaine Beckford a new contract.
Beckford only as twelve month`s left on his current contract so Leeds want to secure his long term services sooner rather than later.
Clubs interested in his services will be monitoring the situation to see whether he agrees to a new contract to stay at the club.
Coventry City have already been rumoured to be interested in the signing of the leading goalscorer in League One in season 2008/09.
