LUFC - Beckford's agent wants talks

Jermaine Beckford`s agent Nick Rubery wants to have discussions about his player`s contract this week.

Beckford only has one year left on his contract and his agent wants to resolve the 34 goal leading goal scorer`s long term future sooner rather than later.

The 25 year old has scored over fifty goals in his two full seasons at Elland Road and a number of clubs are likely to be following the situation very closely.

Speaking in the YEP Rubery said 'Jermaine's scored a lot of goals in League One and he obviously wants to test himself at a higher level, but he's very open to the idea of signing a new contract with Leeds."

Coventry City have already been linked with the striker since Leeds were beaten in the Play offs on Thursday night.

so will he be sent to Coventry?
merlin
I hope he stays but I don't want the club being held to ransom by a player no matter what he's done.

Do you really think Uncle Ken will put up with any outrageous demands? Nope he`ll get a fair offer and if he declines he`ll be shown the door......this club has pulled itself from the brink of financial ruin and it won`t be going there again.
