LUFC - Leeds v Tranmere preview

Leeds entertain Tranmere Rovers on Saturday in a crucial game as places for the Play Off spots hot up.

Leeds know that a win will almost certainly be enough to guarantee a spot unless they suffer two heavy defeats in their last two games whilst Tranmere have two good wins.

The Whites lost their first game in twelve when they lost in the last seconds at Leicester City on Monday.

Last time out at home Leeds beat Stockport County 1-0, they will be hoping to create a club record tenth straight home win on Saturday.

Tranmere
The Rovers continued their late push for a play off place with a 2-1 home victory over Hereford United on Monday.

Last time out away they won 1-0 at Walsall.

They are unbeaten in five games and currently fill the last play off position.

History
The two clubs have only ever met seven times in their history with three of these at Elland Road.
Leeds have won two cup ties at Elland Road whilst the only League meeting was last season, Tranmere won 2-0 in Gary McAllister`s first game in charge.

The two clubs have already met at Prenton Park this season with Tranmere winning 2-1, Enoch Showunmi gave Leeds an early lead before Antony Kay and ex Leeds striker Ian Moore earned the home side all three points.
