'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Other Side Of The Humber Fence

While Leeds seemingly destined for the play-offs, Hull are set fair for another season in the Championship. Yep ... it was a happy day all round ... NOT!

Tigers boss Peter Taylor: 'We've given ourselves a right chance and I can't see us not getting two or three more points with only five games to go.

'I think we deserved to win. It was a cracking local derby - a local derby for us anyway - between two very committed teams.

'I think the players knew with the coverage how much this game means to our supporters. It also means a lot to us and I thought the tempo right from the start was first class.

'We were very committed and we had to be against a team like Leeds.

'Parkin took his goal well, but he should score more in the air considering the size of him!'

It's not over yet, everyone has wobbled recently, Watford seemed to be strong then they get done by Palace? We did Palace and look like auto promotion candidates, then drop form and loose 2 weeks later. Coventry & Norwich did Sheffield, held us to a draw then the go down to Crew & Millwall. The mighty Reading sputtered to the title, after being held to 3 draws, narrrowly escaping embaressment at Leicester so who knows. On any given day, you never say never, thats why you play the full game, the full season. Ask Liverpool! Hull was shocking, it was a massive local derby, and they were playing for survival, Leeds have been miserable against any team in the bottom 6 so it was hardly a shock, just frustrating. Regardless the lack of basic finishing is killing Leeds, as the confidence has dropped up front. It will come back , and we will be there at the end if the season.
