Another month has past in the world of Leeds United and has usual there`s been plenty going on at Elland Road.

Leeds had finished February impressively winning their last two matches to see them climb into the play off places although teams below them had games in hand.

The Whites once again found themselves live in front of the nation with a Monday night trip to Oldham Athletic in front of the Sky TV cameras.

Oldham took the lead early in the second half, Luciano Becchio was quick to equalise for Leeds, they continued to dominate the game but couldn`t find another goal to claim all three points.

Leeds announces that 8,000 fans have already renewed their season ticket for season 2009/10, not a bad total considering the current financial climate and the possibility of Leeds plying their trade once again in League One.

With the weekend game at Bristol Rovers looming they have a problem to cover at right back with both Frazer Richardson ad Andy Hughes now injured, also out are Andy Robinson (hamstring) and Bradley Johnson (suspension).

Academy players Aiden White and Luke Garbutt along with Joe McCann all earn call ups for the England under 17 squad although McCann is only on the standby list.

Leeds are denied a vital away win in the last minute of the game at Bristol Rovers, substitute Jo Kuffour scores in the last minute to equalise for the Pirates.

Simon Grayson is a frustrated manager after the weekends draw speaking on the official website the boss said "We should have had the game dead and buried with 15 minutes remaining".

Leeds quickly gets back to winning ways, a midweek 4-0 hammering of Yeovil at Elland Road.

Jermaine Beckford bags his third hat trick of the season and a wonder strike from midfielder Neil Kilkenny seal the win.

Lucas Radebe who was due to be guest of honour at Elland Road on Saturday has to cancel after the death of his father, this comes only six month`s after Lucas lost his wife to cancer and all Leeds fans thoughts are with the former Elland Road legend.

Liam Dickinson finally joins on loan for the rest of the season, the Derby County striker was due to sign originally in January but Leeds missed the deadline by 14 minutes. He was the due to join on February 21st but got injured on the eve of him joining.

Jermaine Beckford is hero and villain in the space of three minutes, firstly he secures Leeds their seventh straight home win with just three minutes remaining but then spoils this by being sent off in the last minute for an act of petulance when he punched the ball away after being given offside.

Fabian Delph is included in England`s under 20 squad for the up and coming fixture against Italy.

Andy Hughes earns an extension to his current contract after playing eighteen games in the season, he`d a written agreement in his existing contract that if he played that amount of games he would earn an extra years contract taking to the summer of 2010.

Ken Bates is seeking advice on whether it`s worth Leeds making a claim in the light of the Carlos Tevez - Sheffield United saga. Leeds had sold Matt Kilgallon and Rob Hulse to the Blades with a bonus coming to Leeds if Sheffield United stayed in the Premiership. We are still waiting for any further news on this issue.

Defensive duo Frazer Richardson and Andy Hughes have returned to training and pushing for a start at Crewe, Jonathan Douglas has done a good job of filling in at right back whilst the pair have been injured.

Leeds decides not to offer 33 year old Darren Powell a contract after the defenders two week trial at the club.

Midfielder Peter Sweeney joins Grimsby Town on loan after struggling to break into the Leeds side since his arrival in January 2008.

Leeds secure their first away win since January but are holding on at the end!

Crewe defender Billy Jones is sent off in the first twenty minutes, Leeds then race into a three goal lead by half time thanks to goals from Kilkenny, Becchio and Snodgrass. The home side put up a battling performance in the second half and only a fantastic save from Casper Ankergren in the last seconds deny them a point has they get back to 3-2.

Jermaine Beckford and Fabian Delph are once again nominated for the fans PFA player of the month award, they have already won it three times between them this season.

Defender Alan Sheehan joins fellow League One side Crewe Alexandra on loan after struggling to feature since the arrival of Simon Grayson.

Defender Sam Sodje (Reading) and goalkeeper Darryl Flahavan (Crystal Palace) join Leeds on loan for the rest of the season on the last day of the loan transfer window.

Jermaine Beckford scores two goals to give Leeds all three points in their crucial promotion battle against MK Dons at Elland Road.

The goals are the striker`s 30th and 31st goals of the season, he becomes the first Leeds player to break through the 30 goal barrier since Lee Chapman in 1991.

Youngster Fabian Delph is voted the Football League young player of the year at the FourFourTwo Football League awards. Delph is also voted 21st in the top 50 league players of the season.

Simon Grayson is short listed for the Powerade League One manager of the month after winning four and drawing two games during the month of March.

With just one full month of the season remaining Leeds are now firmly fixed in the play off spots, five points clear of seventh place Tranmere Rovers with only seven games remaining.

They still hold outside ambitions of making the automatic spots, they are currently ten points behind second placed Peterborough United.

What`s sure is April looks set to be another exciting month at Elland Road and hopefully by the end of the month with only one game still remaining Leeds can be close to that elusive second place.
