LUFC - Delph takes Young Player of the Year award

Leeds youngster Fabian Delph has capped a fine first full season by being named the FourFourTwo Young Player of the Year.

Delph was voted 21 out of the top 50 in the FourFourTwo Player of the Year and was the highest ranked youngster.

Delph who has been earning rave reviews all season for his hard working midfield displays has attracted the attention of a host of Premiership clubs.

The 19 year old won his first England under 21 cap in November when he came off the bench against the Czech Republic at Bramall Lane.

It caps a fine season for the youngster who is helping Leeds push towards the play offs, he`s already won a host of different player of the month awards this season.

Leeds United missed out on the Best Fan Marketing Campaign award which was won by Preston North End.

Thoroughly deserved, he's looked tired in recent months but by all accounts showed he was back to his best against MK Dons on Saturday. He could be a pivotal man towards the end of this season if we are to get out of this League.
