LUFC - Leeds sign experienced keeper

Leeds United have signed Crystal Palace goalkeeper Darryl Flahavan on loan for the rest of the season.

Flahavan joined the Eagles last summer after playing almost 300 games for Southend United.


The 30 year old has a wealth of experience and is a quality keeper, he won the League One player of the year in 2005/06 as well as being including in the League One team of the year and also taking the Southend United player of the year.

What a great signing, I always rated him at Southend. A new central defender and keeper on the same day! it may be 39 games overdue but now we have the side to make a push for the automatic spot and if not that the play offs.

Great news, providing they can fit in and handle the extra pressure. It has taken some time, fair play, but Grayson is strengthening us where we need it, and offloading the fringe players...
