LUFC - Don Revie book - The Unforgiven

The Legend that was Don Revie is still very much alive in the hearts and minds of Leeds United supporters. And now, just in time for the release of Peter Morgan`s The Damned United, the story of Don Revie and his Leeds United is the topic of a new book, The Unforgiven by Rob Bagchi and Paul Rogerson, which is out this month. It charts the progress of Leeds United under Revie, from lower-division club to almost unrivalled, championship-winning team. By 1974, Leeds had won two League Championships, the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup twice, the FA Cup, and the League Cup; matches such as the 7-0 humiliation of Southampton are still enshrined in Match of the Day mythology.

On April 16th at 6:30pm, Waterstone`s Leeds is organising a 'Fight Night` event with Rob Bagchi and Duncan Hamilton, award-winning author and editor of a compilation of Brian Clough quotes, The Wit and Wisdom of Brian Clough, which is also out now. Styled as a Revie vs Clough event, this will certainly provide a fun evening for all Revie/Leeds aficionados, with Q&A session and book signing at the end of the evening.

The Unforgiven by Rob Bagchi and Paul Rogerson is out in paperback at £8.99, published by Aurum Press.
The Wit and Wisdom of Brian Clough, compiled by Duncan Hamilton, is out in hardback at £8.99, published by Aurum Press.

Tickets to the Waterstone`s event cost £3 and can be purchased on the day at the store. The ticket price is redeemable on purchase of one of the two books on offer.
