LUFC - Dickinson off the mark

Liam Dickinson scored his first goal for the club on Tuesday in a behind closed doors friendly against Sheffield United.

Dickinson who joined on Friday has been short of first team action this season, enjoyed 65 minutes before being replaced.

Dickinson showed why Simon Grayson as been chasing the out of favour striker from Derby County since January with Leeds only goal in a 1-1 draw.

Also making his comeback after injury was utility player Andy Hughes and he will be pushing for a start at Crewe on Saturday with Frazer Richardson still not fit.

Grayson put out a strong side with Prutton, Johnson and Grella also playing in the game.

Good to see him straight away amongst the goals, I think he will partner Becchio on Saturday.

I agree with you Tiny, not only would I have keep Douglas at right back, I wouldn't want Howson being moved out of the middle.
