LUFC - Hero or villian?
Okay in my humble opinion the man is the best thing to happen
to this club in years.
Okay he`s moody and can be disinterested at times but 29 goals speak for
themselves. The game today was at stalemate, a nil nil draw if ever there
was one. Beckford gave us three points, he`s done it time and again all
season and this is why I can forgive him for stupid little tantrums like
today. He wants to be a winner, he wants to score goals he has that passion
we are all crying out for in other players at the club.
When he shows that passion everybody jumps on his back. The only reason we sit in fifth place is because of Beckford`s occasional one man shows! I`ve heard people comparing him to Keane or Barton and that`s a joke.
He is still young and he will learn that things like today stop him from doing what he loves(Scoring goals) but I wouldn`t swap him for any other striker in this league, we are lucky as hell to have him and very well may not hang on
to him next season!
So I know we are all a little disappointed at such a silly sending off
but lets be honest its really his goals that can get us promoted this
season. Get off his back, Jermaine`s the man!

Have to totally agree with you Yorkshire on your great write up..His age is the main factor..having such a skill and yet having a temper to match hey...i for one hope he takes time out to at least try and curb it..wouldn't want him to be a total wimp with no back bone..we need him just to find the a happy medium

I agree with Yorkshire totally, he has made some stupid mistakes in recent weeks that have cost him two suspensions but without him I dread to think where we would be in the league. He's a typical centre forward who has a petulant side to them, take that away and we might not have the goalscorer we have.

Same here Yorkshire I agree with you totally. He's a great footballer and one of the best things to happen to this club, but it's like with my kids when they do something stupid and have a tantrum I get cross and tell them off! It doesn't mean that I don't love them though! Becks is great, I'm just a bit disappointed with him at the minute.....Still Love him though!

He had a very poor game but then comes up with a winner...thats what hes all about but we will miss him nwext week at Crewe. Ref was a shocker and he lets his frustration boil over when it wasnt necessary. We need somepone to step up to the mark next week and make himself a goalscoring heroe

Agree with all the above. But he should be fined. Imagine such a needless sending off in the playoff semi final....
