History

The two clubs have only ever met nine times at Elland Road, Leeds have yet to taste defeat with six wins from the nine games.

Probably the most famous clash at Elland Road was back in the 2003/04 season when the two clubs clashed in the Carling Cup, with only 13 minutes left on the clock the League One side led 2-0 against their illustrious Premiership opposition.
Ian Harte pulled one back to set up a tense finale, with four minutes of added time almost up Leeds won a corner, goalkeeper Paul Robinson ventured forward to plant a header past the hapless Griemink in the Swindon goal, it was a header that any centre forward would have been proud of.
After 30 minutes extra time with no further goals scored the tie went to penalties, Swindon once again took the advantage when Ian Harte hit a post with his penalty, Paul Robinson became the hero for a second time when he saved Miglioranzi and then Gurney`s penalties to send the Whites through to round three.

The two clubs have already met this season at the County Ground, Leeds took the spoils with a 3-1 victory thanks to two goals from Jermaine Beckford and an howler from Swindon`s keeper Smith when he allowed Kilkenny`s long range free kick to somehow go through his body and into the net. The result was made all the more pleasing after having to play for over 80 minutes with ten men after Alan Sheehan was sent off for a reckless tackle.

The lads should be full of confidence after the other night, another win should cement our place in the play offs before we have to go away again!!

I think this game could be a tricky 1, playing teams in the drop zone with 10 games to go are hard games, Swindon have some good players and can cause teams problem, they will be coming to leeds looking for 3 points , Twiny i agree with you mate everytimw we look like we have turned the corner we lose to a team that on paper we should walk through, Going by our home form we should win this one but it's the away games that will worry me,,,,,MOT Good luck lads lets hope you can go on an unbeaten run until the end of season and get back to the championship fingers crossed....

I still think Grayson needs to bring in a couple of defenders, and get dickinson on board he can score goals at this level he has already proved that, The only thing that is worrying me is why is it taking so long to do this, other teams are signing defenders no problem, i think mr bates has something to do with this, i dont believe if a club like ours goes and asked another club about defenders that we can take imsure 90% would jump at the chance to play for us and be involved in the promotion push rather than sitting on a bench doing nothing, I think its about time to either sign these defenders or be Honest with all us fans and tell us the real reason we cant strenghte?????????? mot

Lets keep the momentum from Tuesday when we played some good stuff (albeit against a poor side). Notive Leicester have signed our ex Goalkeeper Tony Warner today. How come we didnt go in for him instead of flappin casper
