LUFC - Bristol Rovers v Leeds preview

Leeds travel to Bristol Rovers on Saturday hoping to build on their improved form last weekend when they took four points from six against fellow promotion candidates.

Bristol Rovers game in midweek was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, last time out they got a creditable 1-1 draw at Carlisle United, they had earlier beat Oldham Athletic away earlier in the week.

Leeds enjoyed a good week when they beat fellow promotion candidates Scunthorpe United 3-2 last Saturday and then earned a 1-1 draw at Oldham on Monday.


History
The clubs have only ever met fourteen times home and away, when they have met at Bristol Rovers the home side have won three, drawn one and lost one. Bristol`s only defeat came last season when Leeds won 3-0 thanks to two goals from Beckford and one from Kandol.

The two clubs have already met this season at Elland Road, Leeds took an early lead through Beckford but then found themselves 2-1 after two quick goals from Lambert and Duffy, Beckford earned Leeds a point with just under fifteen minutes left.
