LUFC - Grayson delighted with point

Simon Grayson was delighted that his side came away with a point at Oldham on Monday night after putting in a much better away performance.

He was even happier given the fact that Leeds are currently struggling with injuries and suspensions and are currently playing midfielder Jonathan Douglas at right back.

It wasn`t helped by the fact that it was their second game against fellow promotion candidates in the space of less than 72 hours, he will have been happy with their point`s haul of four out of six that has seen them back in the play off places for the first time this year.

Grayson was quick to point out that Leeds only had 17 fit players for the game against Oldham on Monday evening and he tried his hardest to bring in a loan player before the Scunthorpe game and then again on Sunday without success.

Grayson was delighted that Luciano Becchio got himself back on the score sheet, speaking in the YEP he said "I said to him before the game that he was going to score.'

Hopefully now that Becchio has his old strike partner Jermaine Beckford back the pair of them can get amongst the goals between now and the end of the season.

The players looked much more up for the fight, its about time they showed a bit of pride in wearing the shirt!
