LUFC - Grayson's midfield headache
Simon Grayson has an headache in midfield ahead of Monday nights six pointer at fellow promotion hopefuls Oldham Athletic.
With Jonathan Douglas playing right back, Jon Howson suspended and Andy Robinson injured Grayson must decide just who will fill the midfield.
Grayson has the options of Bradley Johnson, David Prutton or Lee Trundle to come in for two of those that are missing or he could drop Snodgrass back into midfield after he partnered Jermaine Beckford up front in Saturday`s game.
That leaves Lucciano Becchio who returns from suspension and Mike Grella who has now scored five goals in two reserve games fighting for the opportunity to partner Beckford up front if Snodgrass drops deeper.

Would like to see Prutton back, but he doesnt appear to be in Graysons plans. I`m sure we`ll be ok in midfield, its defending thats the problem!

I think Prutton will be back with....Delph, Snoddy, Kilkenny in midfield. Becchio will be back.
He may even bring Douglas back into midfield and reshape the defence (again).

I would like to see Johnson given a go in the centre of midfield, he built his reputation at Northampton on being a box to box midfielder but has yet to get the chance in that position at Leeds.

I think Johnson plays well when hes confident...On the other hand he can be crap when hes not confident...I think he is the man to fill in the position.
I never thought we would ever have to worry about filling numbers in midfield with the size of our squad...

BBC is saying Kilkenny is struggling to be fit with a back problem..that would really see us short.......I like Johnson as well as he has power and drive but he seems to have gone into his shell a bit. Maybe his goal will help. Sw him in reserves b4 he went to brighton and he looked head and shoulders better than the rest but obviously Macca didnt like him.
