LUFC - Howson to miss Oldham

Jon Howson will miss Monday`s crucial trip to Oldham Athletic after picking up two yellow cards in the space of ten minutes in Saturday`s win over Scunthorpe United.

Howson who was the two goal match winner last weekend against Cheltenham was booked in the seventieth minute for a trip and followed that up just ten minutes later when flying into a tackle.

It`s disappointing for the local lad who has just got his place back in the starting line up after a stop start season.

Leeds will now have to shuffle the pack once again with usual central midfielder Jonathan Douglas currently filling in at right back due to injuries.

Howson`s suspension could give Bradley Johnson a chance to claim a central midfield spot, Johnson replaced Andy Robinson today after fifteen minutes when the former Swansea player went off injured.

I think you'll miss him a lot. Cracking result yesterday though, that really puts you back in the play-off frame. But for what is such a massive game against Oldham, you will miss the quality Howson has to give.

Surprised Howson is missing on Monday as pepers last night said he would miss next Saturdays game...seems a bit quick. Snodgrass back to midfield and Becchio in attack. Who then goes into midfield for Robbo ??? Mayeven bring Douglas back and reshape defence as Douglas didnt have a good game there yesterday

He must be gutted to be missing after just getting back in the side and impressing.

Normally a sending off means a suspension for the nest game where as when you get your 5th bokking of the season there is a 7 day wait rule. I might be wrong and he could be ok for Oldham.

lets hope that Kilkenny passes his fitness test or we will really be short in midfield. Maybe he will step his game up a bit being an ex oldham player
