'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No Return For Barmby

Ex-Leeds midfielder wil play no part in Saturday's cruch fixture at the KC Stadium. But Hull manager Peter Taylor admits he wants to keep him at the club.

The 32-year-old, who is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, arrived at his hometown club in July 2004 on a free transfer from Leeds.

Taylor said: 'I honestly don't know what will happen with Nick but I'd be delighted if he stayed on with the club because he's been a terrific player for us.

'We've missed him while he's been injured and I'm looking forward to getting him back fit again as soon as possible.'
