LUFC - Leeds linked with Crainie

Leeds are being linked with Portsmouth defender Martin Crainie and will be hoping to bring the player in on loan.

Would be a good inclusion in the side....I wonder if its all just paper talk though....I would welcome him to the club if it was true.

We desperately still need a defender and if he can play anywhere along the back line then thats a huge bonus.

the first few games of last season, he was fantasitc for us - against manchester united, he defended very solidly. He then went to QPR on loan and was brilliant - and made there defence impenetrable for a few games. Then he broke his leg. He hasn't really been the same since - having only really recovered this season, but his form has been nothing like what it was. shame.

Like the last comment, probably needs a good run again in a team outside the prem. Time to regain his form, a very good prospect but out of his depth at the moment.

A little worrying that he has played in defence 19 times for Charlton this year...they look all but relegated from the Championship.

why would we insult you? what did you ever do to me?! anyway, His record at charlton was very poor. In fact, charltons defencive performances reflect fairly badly on pompey, as we had TWO defenders loaned out to them! Having said that, he IS a good prospect, and he is just finding it hard to regain the from he had before he broke his leg. If Leeds is the place to do it, then it could work out great for everyone.
