LUFC - Beckford faces up to three match ban

Leeds United striker Jermaine Beckford has been charged with violent conduct by the FA for his elbow on Millwall keeper David Forde in Monday night`s League One clash.

The FA have offered the penalty of a three match ban.

Beckford has until 6pm on Thursday night to admit or deny the charge; the regulatory commission hearing is set for Friday.

Alan Wiley has now said that Beckford was booked for a pushing incident rather than the elbow incident that he somehow didn`t manage to see, although he saw the push!

The 23 goal leading will miss Saturday`s local derby at Huddersfield Town, away trip to Hereford United and the home game against Cheltenham Town if he accepts the charge.

Leeds have yet to make a statement regarding the charge.

He might as well accept the three match ban, we are unlikely to get anywhere with the FA!

Lets hope for the same as Bosingwa.

best accept the ban now and miss Huddersfield, Hereford and Cheltenham. If we contest it, we might be losing him against 3 tougher teams...
