LUFC - Wiley in charge for Millwall clash

Premiership referee Alan Wiley will be the man in charge of Monday`s League One clash between Leeds United and Millwall at Elland Road.

Mr Wiley so far this season has refereed 26 games; in those 26 games that he`s refereed he`s shown 73 yellow cards and 3 reds.

His last game in charge was the FA Cup replay between Everton and Liverpool in midweek when he sent off Liverpool`s Lucas and booked a further seven players.

Last season he refereed 44 games showing 135 yellow cards and 3 reds.

The last time he was in charge of a Leeds United game was last season when they beat Carlisle United 2-0 in the play off semi final second leg.

The time before that was in 2005/06 when Leeds drew 1-1 with Sheffield United at home.

The last time he was in charge of a Millwall game was earlier this season when they lost 4-1 at Brighton when he booked five players.

Referee: Mr A.G Wiley (Staffordshire)
Assistants: G. Turner & P. Keane
Fourth official: M. Halsey

Let's hope he doesn't want to be centre of attention, I didn't see the Everton v Liverpool game but apparently he let a lot of hard challenges go unpunished, I would sooner see players be allowed to challenge rather than booked for a silly little tackle.

He refereed well and Lucas was a nailed on red for a deliberate trip after he alreay had a yellow. He saw thru a lot of play acting from Alonso and Torres so lets hope he does the same on Monday
erni
if we play good attacking football and play well, he shouldn't even come into it. he reffed very well in midweek to be fair.
roberto-74
now I wonder why they moved this to a Monday?

I watched the Merseyside clash Dazza and this ref was blind!!!!!Ne'd better give us value for money then when he's turning the blind eye :-)

Lucas' first yellow was shocking, he's also the ref that sent off Lampard when he won the ball against L'pool the other week; have fun with him!
Yuilly
He'll need his wits about him for this one! If it goes ahead, it's snowing in South Yorkshire
