LUFC- Grayson happy with victory

Simon Grayson was happy with the result against Peterborough on Saturday but felt the game could have gone either way until the introduction of Jermaine Beckford.

The new boss enjoyed seeing Leeds record back to back wins for the first time since mid October and was quick to explain why Beckford only started on the bench, speaking on teamtalk.com Grayson said 'Jermaine was fully fit and ready to return from injury but I am a loyal manager and the team won at Brighton last week so I gave them an opportunity"

Grayson now has a hard decision to make for Tuesday nights clash against Southend with Becchio, Trundle and Beckford all vying for two spots up front. Becchio`s goals have dried up recently although his work rate continues to be 100% and he could possibly now do with a little rest ahead of a busy run in which will hopefully see Leeds feature in at least the play offs.

The possible strike partnership of Lee Trundle and Jermaine Beckford for the next few weeks whilst the Bristol City man is only loan will surely have all Leeds fans excitingly waiting to see how they play together.

Grayson is now looking ahead to Tuesday night and believes that Leeds can continue the momentum that the last two victories have brought the club.
Continuing on teamtalk.com he said "Both teams contributed to a great game that could have gone either way. We were vibrant and looked capable of scoring at any time. We've now had back-to-back victories and hopefully we can keep the momentum going against Southend on Tuesday night. Peterborough are a more mobile side than Leicester but I have said all along that on our day we are a match for anybody.'
Leeds still remain five points outside the play offs but are now just one place outside with a few clubs starting to look nervously over their shoulders.

We could do with putting five or six wins in a row together just to get back into the play offs.
