LUFC - Westlake leaves

Ian Westlake has left Leeds United after having his contract terminated.

The 25 year old has been on loan at Cheltenham since November making fourteen appearances and he`s agreed to join the Gloucestershire club until the end of the season.
Westlake who joined Leeds in 2006 made 53 appearances for the Whites and scored some crucial late winners at the start of last season at Macclesfield and Oldham; He only made one appearance for Leeds in 2008 and spent a period on loan at Brighton at the end of last season.

Westlake is the second player to leave during the transfer window and more are likely to follow during the next nine days with Grayson sorting out the players he wants to stay at the club.

He's hardly featured for Leeds and he will be the start of the mass clearout of deadwood spongers at Elland Road.

No tears from me.

His problem was he was never good enough but at least he went out on loan ro play football (and relieve us of some wages) when he wasnt wanted unlike some of the deadwood we have now who seem content to sit on their backsides and collect their wages. Good luck to him
erni
good luck to him, just not good enough for Leeds. crap signing by Blackwell.
