LUFC -Crucial ten days for Leeds

Leeds face what could be a crucial ten days in their season starting with Saturdays home game against Peterborough United.

They have four games in this period, two at home and two away.
Firstly they have the two home games in the space of four days, against fellow promotion chasing Peterborough on Saturday and then against Southend United on Tuesday.

They follow this up with away games, firstly Walsall and then Leyton Orient on the Tuesday.

With Leeds currently five points outside the play offs they theoretically need at least nine points from these four games to get themselves back into play off contention.

On top of all these games the transfer window closes on the 2nd February and all Leeds fans will be interested to see not only who comes in but more importantly who leaves.

Leeds prize asset Fabian Delph continues to be linked with a number of Premiership clubs, one of these clubs Fulham may now step up their bid to take the England under 21 midfielder to Craven Cottage after selling Jimmy Bullard to Hull City today.

Leeds fans would still like to see some players coming in as well; so far they have signed three players on loan for one month so by the middle of February they may be relying on the same defence that has only kept a handful of clean sheets all season.

Of these loan players probably only Richard Naylor is likely to stay past one month so Leeds need to bring in at least one other defender for the rest of the season.

It`s been very quiet at Elland Road this week but expect a lot of activity over the next ten days and you will be kept up to date with everything here at Vital Leeds.

I am sure there will be a lot going on next week, I wonder if we don't win the two upcoming home games will Bates pull the plug on any possible new targets and be settling for another season in League One?
