LUFC - Showunmi suffers blood clot

Leeds centre Forward Enoch Showunmi could be sidelined for quite a lenghty period after the discovery of a blood clot on his lung in December.

The problem has now been resolved and he`s made a full recovery but he`s unlikely to play for Leeds for the forseeable future.

Showunmi who signed for Leeds from Bristol City in the summer has struggled to gain a regular first team place since joining, he`s only made four starts and ten substitute appearances but he`s managed to chip in with four goals.

A statement on the official website read: 'Enoch suffered a clot on his lung shortly before Christmas.
'He has since made a full recovery, but will not be available for selection for the foreseeable future.
'Leeds United will continue to monitor Enoch's condition and we hope he continues to make good progress. Everyone at the football club wishes Enoch all the best.'
We would also like to wish him all the best here at Vital Leeds.
