LUFC -Blackpool reject Grayson approach

Leeds have approached Blackpool to speak to manager ex Leeds player Simon Grayson for the vacant manager`s position.

Blackpool have rejected the approach from Leeds and have released a statement on Blackpool`s official website, at the moment they will say nothing more than the approach has been rejected.

Betting has been suspended today after a flurry of bets on the former Whites defender rejoining the club; he came in from 14/1 to large odds on favourite before betting was suspended.

It may just be a matter of Blackpool holding out for more compensation from Leeds for the services of their manager.

Since joining Blackpool in 2005 he guided them to the Championship via the play offs in 2007 and has cemented Blackpool`s place in the Championship during their two seasons in the Division.

During his time with the club they have played 160 games, won 59, drawn 51 and lost 50, a win percentage of 36.87%.
