LUFC - Christie back in training

Malcolm Christie is hoping to solve Leeds striker crisis by returning for the weekend clash with Colchester United.

Leeds are so short of forward cover they even contemplated recalling pantomime donkey Tresor Kandol from his Christmas shows in London.

Christie is currently at Leeds on a non contract basis having trained with the club whilst recovering from injury. He made his debut for the club against Northampton Town in the FA Cup where he made a promising debut. Unfortunately he was quickly back in the treatment room when he suffered a rib injury and has been sidelined for the last three weeks.

With top scorer Jermaine Beckford and goal scoring midfielder Andy Robinson sidelined till around Christmas with hamstring injuries Christie`s return to fitness will be a boost to Leeds faltering promotion push.

I had thought that there was hope for you lot,in that you were actually begining to see the acknowledge the reality of your situation...Seeing as you lot have put your heads back into the sand, regarding the reality of your finances and the stance/situation of your owner and manager, then its time to leave you to it...Mark my words,I wont be far wrong with my assesment at the end of the day...

80s terrier yes leeds are going through a rough patch, with 27 games still to play for i think its a bit to early to say we are out the running its only 3 weeks to the transfer window and i know there will be 3 defenders coming in and 1 creative midfield player and another striker and matbe another goalkeeper is what i have been told by someone who works at Elland rd, we will just have to wait and see but this will happen at the start of January i have been told there has already been meetings between the players we want, Im not happy with whats hapening at leeds at the moment but it only takes getting the away games sorted and we will be right up there again just need abit of a boost and a shake up in the team and we will start to turn the games into wins soon MOT.....
My earlier point turbo 2 was that you will need quality signings now and to buy them you will need to stump up some serious money..Until a player or players is/are sold, and it looks as though the most likely name at the top of the outward bound list is the lad delph, then papa smurf is only likely to bring in more journeymen..Who apart from freshening things up a bit arent likely to make much difference...Money accrued from the sale of players would also give smurf the option to ditch macca...At the moment it doesnt look like smurf has the wad to do either(buy quality players/ditch macca) ... ! If you manage to get some QUALITY players in come January without the need to sell then fine, and ill be the first to admit i was wrong...You never know you may have turned the corner before January,a lot can happen in football in just a few short weeks..
