LUFC - McAllister 'Conditions no excuse'

LUFC - McAllister 'Conditions no excuse'

Gary McAllister was quick to admit Leeds had no excuses for their poor performance at Histon Town in the FA Cup on Sunday.

He refused to blame the near monsoon conditions played on a very heavy pitch as an excuse when speaking on the official site said 'I couldn't fault the effort of the players on a difficult pitch but we were sloppy and paid the price.
'I hope this will hurt the players because my stomach is churning and hurting at the moment."
Leeds were woeful in the first half against a much hungrier and hard working Histon, they did come out in the second half but for some bad luck and tremendous defending could have earnt at least a draw, continuing McAllister said 'The facts are that they are through and we are out and we've got to take that on the chin and have a positive response. Football is a cruel game at times and after the second-half performance I dont think we deserve to be out, but we didn't show enough quality throughout the match.'
Leeds now have no excuses with no more cup games to get in the way of their League ambition`s this season.
