LUFC - Leeds United v Northampton Town preview

Leeds get their FA Cup campaign off and running in front of the TV cameras on Friday night against Northampton Town.

Form
Leeds won last Saturday on the road at Cheltenham 1-0.

Their home form recently has been very impressive and they have won their last seven in succession.
Overall in all competitions they have won eight, drawn one and lost one.

Northampton lost on their travels last Saturday 3-1 at Walsall.

In all competitions so far this season on their travels they have won three, drawn two and lost three.

Team news

Leeds
The Whites will probably make quite a few changes for the FA Cup if the League Cup and Johnstone`s Paint Trophy are anything to go by.
Definitely out is Alan Sheehan whilst Rui Marques is doubtful again with injury.

Man to watch: Andy Robinson

Should be in the starting eleven for this cup tie and has produced a number of man of the match performances when starting.

Northampton
The Cobblers have a number of injuries with Adebayo Akinfenwa, Luke Guttridge and Abdul Osman definitely out.

Liam Davis and Ryan Gilligan returned to training on Thursday and may be involved.

Man to watch: Leon Constantine

Will be out to prove a point against his old employee`s after being allowed to leave Leeds in the summer.

History
The two clubs have only ever met on six occasions previously.
When they last met at Elland Road Leeds ran out comprehensive 3-0 winners last season.
In last seasons FA Cup Leeds went out in the first round for the first time in their history losing a replay 1-0 at Elland Road against League Two Hereford United.

Northampton lost in a second round replay 1-0 at Walsall last season.
