LUFC - Leeds get poor draw in Carling Cup

Leeds got the draw that Ken Bates didn`t want in the Carling Cup, Brighton or Derby County away!

Bates was hoping for a big name at Elland Road, said in an interview on the official website in the week "What we don`t want is Brighton away!'

Leeds actually meet Brighton in a League fixture at Elland Road on the 11th October, when the clubs last met at the Withdean Leeds won 1-0 with a late goal from Tresor Kandol.
The last time Leeds went to Pride Park to play Derby was on the final day of the relegation season in 2006/07 when Derby won 2-0.

The Brighton v Derby game is to take place on the 4th November so the fourth round tie date will be arranged with Leeds opponents once that game has been decided.
The rest of the fourth round ties are due to take place week commencing 10th November.
