LUFC - Beckford and Delph make team of the week

Leeds duo Jermaine Beckford and Fabien Delph have both been included in this weeks League One team of the week for their performances at Swindon Town.

With Leeds reduced to ten men very early in the game the whole team put in the extra effort to help Leeds secure a 3-1 victory.

Beckford scored two goals and his overall work rate in dropping back into midfield to help the team was immense.

Those two goals took Beckford`s tally for the season to ten goals in eight games and he`s already well on course to beat the twenty he scored last season.

Delph who for me was the man of the match controlled the midfield and was the architect in every good thing that Leeds did. A sublime through ball set up Beckford for his second goal.

Leeds were quick to tie Delph to the club recently with a new improved four year contract, a host of higher Division clubs were said to be showing an interest in the 18 year old who has come through the Leeds academy.

The award is chosen by the Press Association on the Monday after the previous weekend`s games.
