LUFC - Beckford misses out

Leeds forward Jermaine Beckford missed out on winning the player of the month for League One in August.

The prolific striker who scored seven goals in six games including a hat trick at Chester was up against Chris Taylor (Oldham), Danny Graham (Carlisle) and Matt Fryatt (Leicester City).

Beckford scored again on Saturday to take his tally to eight for the season already.

The award was given to Danny Graham who only scored five goals during the month!

I cannot understand how he can score two goals more than Graham and not win it!
dazza71
Easy, because he`s a Leeds player!

What about Prutt's Kazza?

The award should go to the top goalscorer of the month.

He scored three more goals and still didnt get it! I dont care if nobody likes us cos were leeds, but i do feel sorry for the boys when it seems to go against them.
kingyorkie
he won it a few times last year dint he? so i doubt its just cos he's a leeds player. scoring goals isnt all that makes great player
Dobbo96
i agree, just because hes scored more means he should get it??? so no defender ever gets a chance then or midfielder for that matter, idiots, graham might of scored better goals, more crucial goals, assisted more and scored against better clubs, use ure noggin people
