'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Luton: -30, Rotherham -17, FL? Nil Points

It seems that the Football League can`t make up their mind. Last season we get -15, this year Luton -30, Rotherham -17!

Luton, and their agent-related irregularities aside, it seems that Rotherham have been unfairly punished in a random way that sees the supposed 'just` deduction of Leeds United`s 15 points last season, be, in my opinion, branded farcical.

Rotherham`s financial plight is well known, yet their failure to start the season without a CVA (Creditor Voluntary Agreement) in place, sees them start the season with a 17-point dedication, compared to the 15-point penalty imposed on Leeds.

Rotherham will also be 'forced` to return to the town following their temporary move to Sheffield, within 4 years. One wonders how the FA define a town, given that Everton are set for a move well outside of the Liverpool city limits!

It was hoped, even after our High Court wrangling and ramblings, that some sort of standardisation would be sought regarding clubs in financial trouble. Yet Leeds may now be painted as the 'lucky ones` as both Luton and Rotherham start the season knowing full well that each result may take them one step closer, or further away, from survival.

I think they just pluck a number out of the air and that's that, LUFC1 And, I dread to think what they will do to poor old Bournemouth
You're missing the point. Leeds had been in administration once so -15 points; Rotherham twice, so -17; and Luton 3 times in the last 10 years or so, and they got -20. The other -10 was for transfer irregularities. There is some logic there .... just about!
The football League and logic do not go together!!!
The only logic i can see is that they want to destroy a club rather than help them, sooner or later a club will fold then the Football League will be happy!
The football league havent got a clue, these kind of sanctions are not fair on the fans, who cannot have been responsible for their clubs problems! So to punish the fans strikes at the very heart of "the football family", which without them, football is nothing! Poor, poor show!
True..The fans are the one's that take the ultimate punishment.FL have to restore some faith back into football..Just a pack of Mardy Old Gits who have no life and don't LOVE FOOTBALL...More like content on destroying it bit by bit slowly....
it is a disgrace how the F.A and F.L are treating clubs and their fans these days (even Leeds). How can you start to treat a division seriously when teams are not starting on an even keel? there must be a better and a more fare way to punish clubs.
SWL are you ill?????Or is this your twin talking?
its a joke though how a competition is no longer a competition anymore.
it`s a joke we all no that ,so why dont the FL.
They obviously need to take the common sense pill, though thats probably locked away in some deep vault.
