Hull City Hero Set for Leeds United?

Leeds have reportedly tabled a bid of around 100,000 for Hull City`s playoff hero dean Windass, as it appears he may not be offered a shot at Premier League football.

Leeds have reportedly tabled a bid of around 100,000 for Hull City`s playoff hero dean Windass, as it appears he may not be offered a shot at Premier League football.

Windass popped up to Volley home a goal worth approximately 60million to Hull, as his was the only mark during the 1-0 Championship Playoff final game against Bristol City at Wembley Stadium. With survival on the cards however in the Premier League, the Daily Mail report that Windass` days may well be numbered at the KC Stadium.

With Leeds United looking for experience, alongside what is an ever-increasingly youthful front-line set up, it could be the addition we`re looking for, however an ex-Bradford forward who hasn`t been particularly complimentary towards the Elland Road in the past? It would take some guts for him to move!

Dont do it Deano!
SweetLeftFoot
On a serious note though,I think he still lives in the same house he did when he was at Bradford, next door to Paul Jewell. So there could be a possibility.I hope not though, cause I will have to not like him anymore!
SweetLeftFoot
He will play in the Premier League with Hull, not regularly, but he will play and he will surprise a few, this story is a waste of a page. Deano says he will play for Hull until he is no longer able, then he will retire. Even if that wasn't the case, you wouldn't get him 100k and you won't currently have any players at his wage level(wages renegotiated for a season in the Premier League, I might add)

i agree im leeds mad but cant see deano coming to leeds the same as boothroyd they will not take a large pay cut i here boothroyd is on 8000 a week same as deano there is no way captain birdseye will pay that, i think macca needs to get it sorted its best for the whole team that you have a good pre season together just think macca is being to slow all the players are being snapped up time to wake up and get this team sorted.

I will be surprised if he left Hull. I must admit I don't care about his age, you have always seen 100% commitment from Windass no matter who he's played for. We may only get 60 minutes a game out of him before he's run himself into the ground, but that would be well worth it. Whatever he does I think he's been great for English football during his career. Also anybody who can whack a football at 100mph at Jeff winters head from 10 yards will always be a hero of mine.

Can't see him being motivated enough to turn it on in div 1, after helping the team he's supported all his life to The Prem, he'd be absolutely gutted if he didn't get the chance to play for Hull in the top division. So I'm not sure Leeds would get 100% from him

As a City supporter, I would leave it up to Deano - love to see him stay but EPL starts will be few and far between vs more regular 1st team action in League 1. Stumbling block would be wages....

Hope you get him, then you will understand the real meaning of "traffic cone"....

He would be a tremendous capture, and dspite his age he keps getting goals.

I am sure he could do a great job for Leeds United.
