Leeds United Set for Chester City Cup Test

The 2008/09 Carling Cup draw has been made for Round One, pitting Leeds United against lower league opposition.

Leeds will travel to the Deva Stadium during the week commencing the 11th August for a tie against a Chester City on the end of a United defeat courtesy of Erik Bakke just two seasons ago.

Andy Hughes seemed relatively pleased with the draw, as he told Leedsunited.com:

“Obviously it's a great draw for Chester because they are at home. But I've been there a few times and it's a cracking little stadium to play at.

“It should be a good game for Chester and for us because it will give the manager a chance to have an early look at his squad,' he said.”
