Kevin Phillips Leeds United Bound?

You couldn’t make it up; well actually I did, though it involved Beckford going the other way. WBA striker Kevin Phillips has been linked with a move to Elland Road.

Phillips is out of contract this summer, and unlikely to want to go through yet another Premier League campaign, alerting a number of lower league clubs, with Leeds United considered one of the frontrunners for the former Sunderland and Aston Villa striker.

Phillips’ agent had confirmed he had spoken to Leeds boss Gary McAllister about the experienced forward, who finished the season in the top three goalscorers list. The boss was quiet about particulars, but did tell Leedsunited.com:

“We are in the market, and we are looking at front men who can strengthen.”

Bit old for me but we saw what Dougie Freedman did last year, him and Beckford might be a good pairing though, plenty of goals.

22 goals in the Championship last season...sounds like a spot on signing to me!

Would he drop to League 1 though ????
Tiny T
If the money was right he would come. I think he'd be a great signing.
