Leeds United Sweat on Beckford Fitness

Leeds will have to wait a little while longer to see if top goalscorer Jermaine Beckford has recovered in time to face Carlisle United in the second leg of the League One playoff semi-finals.

Beckford did return to the starting line-up in the first leg at Elland Road, however struggled greatly and was eventually replaced by Tresor Kandol.

“It was plain to see on Monday he wasn't 100 per cent fit,”Gary McAllister told Leedsunited.com

“We took a gamble and barring a fantastic save from Westwood he would have got us a goal.

“I've got a tough decision now in the next day or so. He's responded to treatment again, and it's settled again, but we'll wait and see.

“It'll be a late call.”
