Stoke City Promotion = Leeds United Payment

Vital Leeds United congratulates Stoke City for their promotion, as it means the Elland Road club make more money out of Richard Cresswell’s transfer!

Stoke’s 0-0 draw with League One bound Leicester City means that they now owe 200,000 to Leeds United as part of the deal that saw Richard Cresswell depart the Elland Road club.

Leeds Chairman Ken Bates told Yorkshire Radio:

“I’m pleased for Stoke and I wish them well.

“When they took Richard Cresswell we were on a bonus if they got promotion so we're delighted.”

Cresswell managed just 12 goals in 46 appearances for the Staffordshire side this season.

Leeds stand to receive a performance-related sum from Fulham for the 1.5m striker if he scores five goals this season. Healy has four goals to his name.
