'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Leeds Utd Manager Reaction

Gary McAllister was somewhat pleased with the performance that saw Leeds United bounce back into the playoff positions.

Goals from Paul Huntington and Jermaine Beckford were enough to seal all 3 points against a Leyton Orient side destined for mid-table mediocrity this season. With just 5 games remaining, and the 15 point penalty arbitration hearing on the horizon (a week Monday) there wouldn’t have been much of a better time for the Whites to find themselves back in playoff contention.

Speaking to the official Leeds United website, McAllister said:

“It's been a good week for everyone, particularly the players,”

“We had a performance, we got the right result, and barring the keeper making four or five excellent saves, it could have been a lot more than 2-0.

“We've gone four clean sheets in a row and that's pleasing,' said the boss. 'Because we know there's goals in the team.

“Getting into the top-six is a boost, and we've got to push on. We’ve got five games left now and there's so much to play for.

“We've got to play with that freedom again.”
