Vital Leeds United MIA List

Vital Leeds United compiles a list of those elements of our team and club in general that are currently to be listed ‘missing in action.’

15 League Points
With Leeds United chasing their 15 point total, the run of current results are making the April 14th arbitration hearing ever more vital to the promotion push for Gary McAllister’s team. No longer can we simply rely on what was a hard working, fight-to-the-death side to propel us. We need the points that were cruelly taken away from us illegally by the Football League or a scraped playoff place is all we can hope for.

Argentineans
Once upon a time in a galaxy far far away, Darth Bates and Obe-One-Wobbly-Eye had apparently agreed a deal that would see a number of young, talented Argentine players show up at Elland Road.

The flight bringing them to Yorkshire must have attempted to cross the Bermuda triangle, as the notion of such flair and exotic talent has gone somewhat quiet since January.

Two Tricky Wingers
Dennis Wise, before his daft move to London to work for Newcastle United (all hail King Kev, keep up the good work sunshine!) brought in what were thought to be two quick, skilful wingers in Filipe Da Costa (start of the season) and Serbastian Sorsa (January.)

Mr Da Costa hasn’t been seen for a while ever since his trial at Falkirk was cut short due to injury. Sorsa on the other hand, has been selected for his international side despite having not featured for Leeds United properly yet!

A left-back
Poor Frazer Richardson, slated for the first Cheltenham goal on Tuesday evening. It’s down to him being out of position. Leeds united sent Ben Parker on loan and have to wait 28 days before potentially recalling him. He was set to be replaced by Aston Villa’s young Irish defender Stephen O’Halloran, who like all good Villa players soon picked up an injury.

Just how long will we see Richardson continue out of position whilst Kenton makes the right back position at Leeds United a joke…I mean his own!

Casper’s Goalkeeping Ability
What has happened to Casper Ankergren. Our usual rock, and he who we relied on when things weren’t going too great has seemingly become erratic of late and his error last weekend nearly cost us the kind of goal that Bournemouth would have been able to work from. Come on Casper!
