Constantine Out on Loan

Would the last one out of Elland Road please remember to switch the lights off and lock up please? Striker Leon Constantine joins Oldham until April 5th.

Leeds will, after 28 days, be able to call the player back should he be required, however it appears that there is to be little chance for Constantine to prove himself following his latest injury recovery.

Manager Gary McAllister has suggested that the temporary move is to ensure the player gains match fitness, something he must obviously not be able to do ahead of the ageing Tore-Andre Flo and potential inbound geriatric Dougie Freedman. As reported previously by Vital Leeds in the article Leeds Striker Set for Loan Exit boss Gary McAllister told LUTV:

“He's itching to get games, but I feel it would be unfair to come straight into the side.

“He would benefit from getting games under his belt away from the pressure here so we're looking to place him somewhere.”

Great move or great gaff, you decide!

sorry think this is a bad move we have not been scoring goals we only have beckford and now kandol is scoring but we have no cover up there flo is not good enough anymore and this is the most important stage of the season we cannot afford anymore draws or loses if we are to get out of this league.im just hoping macca has something up his sleeve like bringing some experience in at this stage i say bring in FREEDMAN AND MILLER AND MAYBE GET CLAPHAM BACK..........................................................
brettino
I thought he might be coming our way.
herringthorpe
all going pear-shaped chaps?
merlin
Wouldn't have any of the ones suggested above, 1 doesn't want to come, 1 been before and not good enough even for this level and the other I believe is staying put.
Tiny T

Tiny T
My source at Elland Rd has told me today that Freedman is at Elland Rd for talks today i think macca has used his Scottish charm to change his mind would be a good signing for the leeds if
brettino
Well it looks like its a done deal people and there is also talk of another BIG NAME in talks aswell i know the name but will let you all guess but its a Cracker things are looking up for leeds and i can tell you all Freedman will be a big signing for us he will get you the goals we need you watch..........MARCHING ON TOGETHER...............
brettino
Would have prefered to see him gain match fitness at Leeds with a few substitute appearances.
dazza71
