Crewe Boss Disappointed

Crewe Boss Disappointed

The cheek of it! Crewe Alex manager Steve Holland saw his side come away with a point at Elland Road and talks of his disappointment at not taking all 3.

Tresor Kandol scored late on for Leeds as they struggled to overcome a plucky Crewe side that had the lions share of the game and were leading through a 47th minute Nicky Maynard goal. Steve Holland believes his side had done enough to win the match as he told crewealex.net:

“It feels like a defeat at the moment because I thought we created enough good chances to win the game.

“I am disappointed because it would have been a big win for us today and very special for our supporters. We could have gone in at the break ahead. Kenny hit the bar with a well taken free-kick and Nicky (Maynard) had a good chance. I don't think it was as easy as it looked but you would have still backed him to hit the target.

“After we scored a well worked goal early on in the second half I thought we controlled things, which was pleasing.”
