Marques Named Leeds Skipper

Rui Marques will lead the Leeds United side out as both club captain and deputy continue their recovery from their respective injuries.

Rui Marques will lead the Leeds United side out as both captain and deputy continue their recovery from their respective injuries.

Both Andy Hughes and Jonathan Douglas are out through long-term injury so the Angolan international will step in in what will be his 50th appearance in a Leeds United shirt. Speaking to leedsunited.com manager Gary Mac said:

“Rui would have captained the team last week against Doncaster and nothing has changed.”

“Andrew Hughes is missing with injury, and Jonathan Douglas is still out, so all being well Rui will be the captain.”

Good call I say!
